She Rolls!

It's official. I looked up from checking my email and saw this.... She wasn't on her tummy when I put her down. She's been trying to roll over for a few days now, but couldn't get the arm thing right. I guess she figured it out. I just hate that I didn't get to see it!

Jake wanted to have a picture to commemorate the moment.

Jake is getting so big now. In a few weeks he'll turn 4! It's hard to believe. He's a pretty handsome fella!

Jake loves to play with the bugs that I found for him. He plays the "animals game" where he takes anything that's an animal and puts it on it's own square tile in the kitchen. It makes a big mess, but he likes it, so I guess it's worth it.

Emily is going to be 4 months old on Friday. Time is going by so fast. She started rice cereal this week...she's growing up!

Finally, an update!

I'm so sorry to anyone waiting for new pictures. I guess I've just been busy. Here's an update on the last month of our lives.

CHRISTMAS!

It seems so long ago, but we celebrated Emily's first Christmas....several times. Here are a few pics of our Christmas celebration with Steve and Sandy, Jenni and Andy and the girls.

Jake and Emily in their matching Christmas PJ's...so cute. This was after the presents, so Jake looks pretty tired. I don't know what that look on Em's face is. It's a little bit "what you talkin' 'bout, Willis?"

Jake got some great toys and clothes--he especially loves his Thomas slippers.

Emily in another Christmas dress. She wore this one to Christmas Eve service.

Jake got a great gift from Gam and Papaw--a video game bike that is a great source of exercise. He loves it!

We spent Christmas day here, just the 4 of us. This year on Christmas day we took Jake to a local nursing home and he handed out flowers to the residents there. Some of them weren't going to see any family for Christmas, we just wanted to bring them some cheer.

The day after Christmas we traveled to Missouri to see Ryan's grandparents and my family. Neither of my sisters had seen Emily. They couldn't keep their hands off her. It was a nice break for me and Ryan!

This is my sister, Kelly and her younger daughter, Hayley holding Emily.

My older sister, Erin and Jake.

Jake and his cousin, Ethan. Ethan is just 5 months younger than Jake so they had some fun together. Missouri is lots of fun for Jake because he has cousins his age. He played so hard the whole time we were there.

This video of Jake and Ethan is so funny, this is pretty much what the four days that we were there looked like.

So that's it. Christmas was great. January has gone by so fast. Emily will be 4months old in a few days. She's started eating rice cereal, which she's doing great with. She's just as cute as ever. Here are a couple of January pics...

Snow Day

Today was a good day. The snow was beautiful and Jake and Ryan went out to play "snow balls". They were having a great time! They even built a snowman--who happens to be working on his tan?
(the arms are celery!)
A snowball fight broke out, I still don't know who won...

Baby Dedication

This weekend, we and three other families from The Well dedicated our little ones to Christ. It wa s a great time that we are so thankful to have shared with our friends and family! Emily pretty much slept throught the whole thing. She looked so pretty in her Christmas dress and sparkly red shoes! She was getting the Wizard of Oz jokes all night! Here are some pics of the dedication and our pretty Christmas princess....

Tis the Season!

With my first Thanksgiving turkey behind me, it's on to Christmas. We put our tree and decorations up right after Thanksgiving dinner and we've been enjoying the Christmas season ever since.

I made this snowman cake on Thanksgiving for dessert, Jake thought it was pretty funny.Jake wants to audition for the role of Mary in the Christmas Story.
